What is the Age Eligibility for Annapurna Bhandar Yojana?

The Annapurna Bhandar Yojana 2026 requires all applicants to be between 25 years and 60 years of age at the time of application. This age criterion applies to all eligible women across all 22 districts of West Bengal, regardless of social category — general, SC, ST, or OBC.

💡 Age as on date of application: Your age is calculated as of today's date — not your birthday this year or last year. Use this calculator to find your exact age right now and instantly see if you fall within the 25–60 year eligibility window.

How is Age Calculated for This Scheme?

Your age for the Annapurna Bhandar Yojana is calculated from your date of birth as recorded in your Aadhaar card. The Aadhaar-linked date of birth is the official reference for all scheme-related age verification. If your Aadhaar shows a different date of birth than your school certificate or voter ID, it is the Aadhaar date that the government system uses.

What If I Turn 25 Soon?

If you will turn 25 before the enrollment window closes on approximately 25 August 2026, you should wait until your 25th birthday and then apply immediately. The scheme requires you to be 25 years of age at the time of application — not at the time of first payment. Use this calculator's "next birthday" feature to see exactly how many days remain until you become eligible.

What If I Am About to Turn 61?

If you are currently 60 years old, apply as soon as possible — before your 61st birthday. Once you turn 61, you will no longer be eligible under the current scheme guidelines. Women above 60 years of age may be eligible for other government schemes such as the Old Age Pension scheme.

⚠️ Age alone is not enough. Even if you are between 25 and 60 years old, you must also meet the other eligibility conditions — permanent West Bengal residency, Indian citizenship, BPL/AAY/PHH ration card, Aadhaar-linked bank account, not a government employee, and not an income taxpayer. Frequently Asked Questions

Q: My age on Aadhaar is different from my birth certificate. Which one does the government use?

The government system uses the date of birth as recorded in your Aadhaar card for age verification. If there is a discrepancy, visit your nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra to correct the date of birth on your Aadhaar before applying.

Q: I am 24 years and 11 months old. Can I apply now?

No. You must wait until you turn exactly 25 years old. Apply on your 25th birthday or the day after — as long as the enrollment window is still open (approximately 25 August 2026).

Q: Does the age limit apply differently for SC/ST women?

No. The 25 to 60 year age limit applies equally to women of all social categories — general, SC, ST, and OBC. There is no relaxation in age for any category under the Annapurna Bhandar Yojana.

Q: I am 60 years old. Am I still eligible?

Yes, as long as you are exactly 60 years old (have not yet turned 61), you are eligible. Apply as soon as possible before your next birthday.
